This is part 2 of the Liz & Zach wedding saga at Olbrich Gardens in Madison, WI.

The morning of the wedding, everything was so under control, we had time to stand around and look silly.
Z & Liz did a little pre-shindig dancin & smoochin

They don't usually have this dance at the reception . . .
Zach and Liz read the vows they each wrote. There were many tears.
Mo-dude, The Minister of Marriage, getting a chuckle from us all.

The best part: you may kiss the bride!!!

B and his Liz in a race against time. Little do they know . . .
      . . .Once again
Do I behold these steep and lofty cliffs,
That on a wild secluded scene impress
Thoughts of more deep seclusion; and connect
The landscape with the quiet of the sky. . . Hey, get out of my poetic picture!
Now how do we get down from here?

Reflect, already.
This one is for P'Chum. We imported a Thai pavilion just to make him feel at home if he ever makes it to WI.
With the reception finished up, and the rain fast approaching, it was time to EAT! But first we had to get the bride into the hotel without getting her dress wet.
On the terrace, bubble bath & "extras" in hand behind the back, we were looking for a white dress . . .

Definition of a successful wedding: the intended get married. Mission: Accomplished.

But our weekend had just begun. We now needed to tactfully let folks know what was up. We started our tour by visiting the Hentz household. After the usual greetings, Leeny stuck her hands behind her back and simply asked, "How do I tell them?" Fearing the worst, Mrs. Hentz immediately started pulling clothing aside looking for the inevitable tattoo. Emily saved us from certain ruin! After much squealing, we have a happy Mrs. Hentz too.

We stopped by a graduation party for a friend of Leeny's from High School. They say feet photos are artistic . . . ewww.

Sisters!

The next stop was at my parents house. Shortly after entering, our well-laid plans went awry. Leeny fought my dad for control of her suitcase most of the way to the basement steps. Heather & I went with my mom into the living room to look at the new red wall. Obviously the best time to announce big news is when everyone is scattered and distracted.
"Mom, you're gaining a daughter!"
To which she replied, "Well, Heather is great, but I do better with sons."
Heather: "Leeny, you'd better get in here!"
After some explaining, we finally figured things out. Whew. Just in time to fly home and get the dog.
All tuckered out . . .
